The Catholic Churches of MAC Pastorate has a comprehensive baptism preparation program for parents and godparents seeking baptism for infants or children up to 6 years in age.
The following steps must be completed before scheduling a Baptism of a child under 7 years of age. Some families may choose to have their child Baptised at a different parish, but attend a Baptism Class at one of the MAC Pastorate parishes.
The parent(s) and the godparent(s) must have attended a Baptism Class within the last three years. If the parent(s) or the godparent(s) have not attended a class within the last three years, they are welcome to register for a class at MAC Pastorate. Call Debbie Pfeifer @ (410) 665-1054 to reserve your space, seating is limited.
Baptism Class involves attending a two hour class that covers in detail the Sacrament of Baptism and the requirements of the Catholic Church. At the end of the class, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance of Baptism Class.
After attending the Baptism class, if you wish to have your child baptized at St. Michael's, please submit ALL required paperwork in person or by email to [email protected]. Then, proceed to Step 3.
1. Certificate of Attendance of Baptism Class for parents.
2. Certificate of Attendance of Baptism Class for godparents.
3. The Baptism Registration Form.
4. The Baptism Sponsor Covenant Form completed and signed by each godparent.
5. A copy of the Birth certificate of the child.
Once all the above paperwork has been submitted to the Pastorate Office, the date for baptism may be scheduled. Baptisms are generally held as follows:
