A mESSAGE FROM aRCHBISHOP LORI
Archbishop Lori joined Hispanic Ministries Director Lia Garcia for a discussion concerning immigration and accompaniment. Many in our country are living in a moment of great uncertainty that brings fear and isolation as immigration enforcement actions are carried out with increasing frequency in the United States and in our own state of Maryland. As a pastor of souls, Archbishop William E. Lori offers a message to the faithful in these uncertain times.

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage
The St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is coming to the Archdiocese of Baltimore from June 9 to June 11. You’re invited to encounter the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist as we prepare to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary as One Nation Under God.
Register at ArchBalt.org to join the free events planned, including Holy Mass and Eucharistic processions, tours of America’s first Cathedral, a retreat dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and sunset adoration in Carroll Gardens, the birthplace of the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence. The pilgrimage will visit Annapolis, Baltimore, Boonsboro, Hagerstown, and Severna Park.
Named for the first American citizen to be canonized a saint, the Cabrini Route will take the pilgrims on a 2,000-mile journey from Florida to Maine to Pennsylvania, ending in Philadelphia over Independence Day weekend. For more information on the pilgrimage, visit EucharisticPilgrimage

St.Michael-St.Clement School will close at end of academic yearSchool leadership announced April 13th, 2026 that St.Michael-St.Clement School in Overlea which serves preschool through eighth grade, will not reopen in the fall for the 2026-2027 academic year. To address community concerns and provide additional information an in-person group meeting for parents is scheduled this week. Resources have also been made available on the school's website at Stmstc.org
We honor the life and legacy of the beloved St. Michael and St. Clement School (s) over the years. We extend our deepest thanks to the dedicated faculty, staff, families and supporters whose commitment and sacrifice built a strong foundation for so many and has formed so many graduates. Dear School Family and Friends,
Please accept my sincere apologies for missing the meeting on Tuesday. I have been dealing with a personal health issue and mistakenly believed the meeting was scheduled for Wednesday. I am truly sorry—I very much wanted to be there with you.
I am deeply saddened by the news that St. Michael-St. Clement School will be closing at the end of this school year. While I understand the reasoning behind this decision, it is still very difficult to imagine our community without the school. The students have been a constant source of inspiration and energy for me—I truly think of them as “my kids.” Sharing Mass with them each Thursday has been a highlight of my week, and I will miss that time dearly.
I know this is an incredibly challenging moment for all of you as you consider the next steps in your children’s education. Please know that I continue to believe strongly in Catholic education and encourage you to consider neighboring Catholic schools. You may remain a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel parish while receiving the discounted rate at other schools; there is no need to leave our parish in order to continue your child’s Catholic education. It would be an even greater sorrow to lose your presence within our parish community. I truly value and appreciate each of our school families.
St. Michael-St. Clement School has a rich history that extends far beyond the date of its merger. Over the years, friendships have been formed and families have been blessed through this school and the two communities that came before it. I am deeply grateful to our staff, teachers, and all of you for making this school such a special place.
I pray that we will continue to be a source of love, hope, and peace for one another—both now and in the future.
Please know that you are all in my prayers. If there is anything I can do to support you during this time, do not hesitate to reach out.
